The second round of matches for the Duleep Trophy are set to begin on Thursday morning, with India B facing India C at the ACA ADCA ground in Anantapur. At the same time, India A go head-to-head against India D at the Rural Development Trust Stadium. With India B and India C having secured victories in their previous games, they will be eager to maintain their winning streaks. Players in form will look to continue impressing, knowing that strong performances could significantly boost their chances of earning a spot on the Indian team in the near future.

Rinku Singh’s inclusion in the India B squad, due to players leaving for the Test camp, gives him the perfect chance to prove he’s more than just a big hitter. This is an opportunity for him to shine in the longer format. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on Musheer Khan after his impressive 181 against India A, which made him the third-highest scorer on Duleep Trophy debut. Although dismissed for a duck in the second innings, consistent performances could fast-track Musheer into the senior side soon.

Nitish Kumar Reddy will be eager to bounce back after a poor first game, with India searching for fast-bowling all-rounders to support Hardik Pandya. His IPL form shows potential and a strong performance in the longer format could elevate his national team chances. Despite losing Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant to India commitments, Team B remains solid with replacements Suyash Prabhudessai and Himanshu Mantri. Washington Sundar’s all-round skills and Sai Kishore’s growing confidence will be key assets. Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran, along with in-form bowlers Navdeep Saini and Mukesh Kumar, will aim to lead from the front.

For India C, Suryakumar Yadav is set to take the field, looking to make a strong case for his inclusion in the Test squad. With frequent talks surrounding his potential in red-ball cricket, every innings becomes crucial for him, especially after recovering from his thumb injury. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad will be eager to step up in round two, while Sai Sudharsan, known for his skill set in the longer format, will aim to build on his performances. Baba Indrajith, who showed promise in the first game, will look to contribute even more to strengthen his team’s chances.

The bowling attack for India C has been exceptional, and captain Gaikwad will be counting on his bowlers to deliver once again. Anshul Kamboj and Vyshak Vijay Kumar caused major headaches for the opposition in the first round, and similar performances are expected from them in round two. Manav Suthar, fresh off an impressive eight-wicket haul in the first match, will be riding high on confidence and eager to keep catching the selectors’ attention.
