Ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, Pakistan’s head coach, Grant Bradburn, has revealed the team’s intention to embrace an assertive and aggressive approach. In a media interaction, Bradburn delved into Pakistan’s evolving mindset and how the team has adapted to the changing dynamics of cricket.
Bradburn emphasized that cricket is undergoing a transformation, prompting Pakistan to strategically recalibrate its approach. He highlighted that glimpses of this revamped strategy were evident during the series against New Zealand, and the team intends to carry forward this approach. Despite the challenges posed by Sri Lankan conditions, Bradburn affirmed that Pakistan is committed to maintaining an attacking mindset throughout the series.
“Cricket is changing, so we decided to plan accordingly. A glimpse of Pakistan was seen in the series against New Zealand and we will continue playing that way. Sri Lankan conditions will not be difficult but we will play with an attacking mindset,” Grant Bradburn said while talking to the media.
The forthcoming ODI series between Pakistan and Afghanistan is scheduled to feature two matches on August 22nd and 24th in Hambantota, followed by the third match in Colombo on August 26th.
