After a comprehensive win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super Four match, Rohit Sharma said there were several positives for his team. He praised the performance of the openers as well as the centuries by Virat Kohli and KL Rahul.
Rohit specifically commended Kohli and Rahul’s remarkable comeback from injury, noting that determination was evident in his performance.
“There were lots of positives, with the openers and then Virat and KL. Virat’s innings was brilliantly paced. And then KL, to get back from injury and then to know five minutes before the toss he’s playing, to play that way shows the mindset of the player,” said Rohit at the post-match presentation.
Unbeaten centuries from Kohli and Rahul, along with Kuldeep Yadav’s five-wicket haul, propelled India to a resounding 228-run triumph over Pakistan in the high-octane clash played over two days due to rains.
