Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf said he is fully fit and ready to make an impact at the World Cup beginning on October 5.
“It is every player’s dream to play in the World Cup. It is an honour for me to represent Pakistan at this event. I am fully fit and ready to perform. We have confidence in ourselves as a team. The team management will decide whether to give me the new ball or the old ball. I have no specific goal set for the World Cup. The emphasis is on team performance than individual performance,” Rauf said during a media session on Monday in Lahore ahead of the team’s departure for India.
Rauf, who has 53 wickets in 28 ODIs, suffered an injury during Pakistan’s Super Four clash against India at the Asia Cup and was ruled out of the remaining games. He is in Pakistan’s 15-member squad for the World Cup.
