Lexygen, a leading law firm that is committed to providing best-in-class legal advice in practice areas such as Private Equity, Venture Capital , Mergers & Acquisitions, and Technology, has entered into a partnership with RevSportz, a digital-first, multi-sports content platform for Indian sports fans globally.
This partnership around the Paralympics is part of Lexygen’s existing “Impact and Inclusion” Initiative, and resonates with the firm’s core principles and values.
Sports in general is considered a great leveller in society and the Paralympic movement in particular ensures that people with various and varying degrees of disabilities and impairments get an equitable opportunity to participate, play, compete and make an impact, whilst also fulfilling their personal aspirations of building an identity, a meaningful career path and a commercially viable life.
In that context, the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, is an important platform to discuss and champion socially sensitive but relevant matters such as inclusivity in terms of gender, age, ethnicity and one’s ability as well as the impact of the Paralympic sporting event in terms of the environment, sustainability practices, financial prudence and on the well-being of people in general.
As part of this partnership, Lexygen and RevSportz will create co-branded content that aims to create awareness, foster meaningful conversations as well as sensitize people around equity, inclusion and impact.
Majority of the content would be conceptualized and created by the RevSportz team that is present in good numbers at the Paris 2024 Paralympics event and will be produced in different formats:
1. Co-branded videos covering incidents, moments and anecdotes that exude a “Breath of Fresh Air” vibe in terms of empowerment, inclusion and impact.
- A jointly hosted webinar that will discuss the role of sport in creating a level playing field in society and how the Paralympic movement in India has provided opportunities to people from all walks of life, irrespective of their socio-economic strata, their educational or financial backgrounds or the level of their abilities and impairment.
- Guest articles penned by members of the Lexygen team around the importance of inclusivity in our personal and professional worlds and how sports, especially Paralympic sports, has set a good precedent for others to follow suit.
Announcing the partnership, Vijay Sambamurthi, Founder and Managing Partner, Lexygen said, “As a part of our sustained “Impact & Inclusion” initiatives, we at Lexygen are honoured to support RevSportz on this important initiative centred on the amazing Indian Paralympics contingent! Our partnership will co-create relevant content during the period of the Paralympics 2024 showcasing the importance of enhancing equity and inclusion in Indian sport, and indeed, in broader society.
When Lexygen was founded 18 years ago, our primary founding goal was to emerge as a “breath of fresh air” in the way legal advisory services are provided. The Indian Paralympics athletes, over the years, have consistently shown themselves to be nothing short of a “breath of fresh air” in the way New India plays its athletic sports – with grit, dedication and dignity! That mindset truly resonates with us as an organization!”
Speaking about the partnership, Boria Majumdar, Founder and Editor-In-Chief, RevSportz said, “For us at RevSportz covering the Paralympics was always a breath of fresh air. Moving away from the ruthless competitiveness that sport brings in its wake, the Paralympics is also about the spirit and values associated with sport. When we watch Avani Lekhara shoot or Suhas Yathiraj smash or Sumit Antil throw the Javelin, it is about human endeavour of a very different kind. It is about pushing the limits. Showing what the human body can do if there is zeal. A kind of statement that leaves us all in awe and serves as inspiration. And that’s the “Breath of fresh air” that we celebrate. Thanks Lexygen for coming on board.”
Prantik Mazumdar, Investor and Strategic Advisor, RevSportz said “Sports is ultimately a microcosm of our society and it reflects our priorities and the values that we uphold. In that context, the Paralympic movement in India is a critical one as the very nature of the games reflect diversity, equity, inclusion and impact. It is important that we talk about and champion these principles in our daily lives, be it at home, school, work or play. Hence I am very excited that Lexygen has decided to partner RevSportz on this thought leadership and awareness drive as part of their existing inclusion and impact initiative. Wishing both organizations all the very best as they embark on this journey.”
