With three rounds of the Ranji Trophy completed, the tournament has already showcased stellar performances with both bat and ball. As excitement builds for the upcoming round, fans and selectors eagerly await to see which players will step up and deliver standout performances.

Baroda captain Krunal Pandya is set to draw considerable attention after his exceptional century against Odisha. Displaying superb temperament and tactical awareness, Pandya led his team to victory. Continuing this momentum could boost both his prospects for future national selection and Baroda’s campaign in the Ranji Trophy. Similarly, Rajat Patidar will be keen to leave an even greater mark, following his explosive century off just 68 balls against Haryana. Patidar’s innings proved the notion that, while form may waver, true class endures. Although a spot in the national side might currently be out of reach, consistent impactful performances could reignite his chances of a future call-up.

Ashutosh Sharma, the Railways batter and former Punjab Kings player, will be keen to make headlines once more in this round. After a standout IPL season with Punjab Kings, Sharma has somewhat slipped under the radar but is now eager to seize the opportunity to score big for Railways in the upcoming fixtures. Known for his technical skill and power-hitting ability, Sharma is bound to attract attention when he bats.

Bengal’s Abhishek Porel will aim to reinforce his credentials as well as a wicketkeeper-batter. After his recent retention by the Delhi Capitals, there’s significant interest surrounding Porel ahead of the IPL. This Ranji round presents an important chance for him to match rising expectations.

Punjab’s Prabhsimran Singh is in the same boat as Porel, being one of two retentions for Punjab Kings. With this spotlight on him, there’s bound to be significant interest in his performances in the upcoming Ranji Trophy fixtures. Prabhsimran’s batting ability has shown steady improvement, and a strong campaign here would not only boost his confidence but also set him up well for the high-stakes matches to come.

The Mumbai Ranji Trophy team has long been a cradle of young talent. At present, Ayush Mhatre, just 17, has made a name for himself with a stunning century against Maharashtra, signallinga bright future for Mumbai and Indian cricket. Another young star in the squad, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who made waves in last season’s IPL, is expected to bring his powerful shot-making to the domestic stage and add value to Mumbai’s batting lineup. Rounding off a trio is Shams Mulani, a seasoned presence in the Mumbai camp, who has evolved into a reliable bowling all-rounder. Mulani’s consistency and skill will be essential as he looks to excel for Mumbai.
