My eventual goal has to be Paris 2024: Nikhat Zareen on Backstage with Boria Season 4
Backstage with Boria Season 4 launches on 1 January 2023 with a stellar line-up of sports stars. Over the next 3 months, the show will feature Nikhat Zareen, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, Manika Batra, Sourav Ghosal, Sharath Kamal, Abhinav Bindra, Tejaswin Shankar, Pankaj Advani, PR Sreejesh and Harmanpreet Singh, Dilip Tirkey, Mirabai Chanu,Savita Punia, Rameshbabu Praggnandhaa, Pullela Gopichand and a host of other leading athletes.
As part of the build up to the India Australia cricket series, there is a special focus on fast bowling with Jeff Thompson and Alan Mullally giving us masterclasses on swing bowling.
BWB Season 4 launches with Commonwealth Games gold medallist Nikhat Zareen. The reigning world champion and CWG gold medallist says she wants to win every competition that she takes part in and the eventual goal has to be Paris 2024. She is also RevSportz Female Athlete of the Year 2022.
Nikhat Zareen on Backstage with Boria said, “I have finally got the chance of representing my country and I am not going to let this opportunity go. Having won the world championship gold and the gold medal in front of a packed audience in Birmingham at a weight category which was 2 kilos less than what I competed in the world championship I now have the confidence of doing well in big events. To lose weight and compete wasn’t easy. After the world championship there were a lot of distractions, events and felicitations and then we had a 2-week training period in Ireland. My focus was always the gold medal and I was ready to sacrifice anything to get my hand on the gold. In fact, I want to win everything and the eventual goal has to be the Paris Olympics of 2024.”
Speaking on the show Boria Majumdar said, “It gives me great pleasure to be able to put together this line up and deep dive with India’s best athletes. With Paris 2024 just 18 months away, it will give us an idea of where we are in terms of our preparation while also celebrating what we achieved in 2022.
