The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has issued a tender document inviting bids from eligible parties to operate two teams in the upcoming third season of the T20 Mumbai League.
Launched in 2018, the league has grown into one of India’s leading domestic T20 competitions, providing a platform for talented cricketers. It has played a key role in the rise of players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Tushar Deshpande, and Shams Mulani, who have delivered standout performances and advanced to higher levels of the game.
Returning after a six-year hiatus, the third edition of the T20 Mumbai League is set to reignite enthusiasm among the city’s cricket fans. The tournament will commence on May 27.
This season will feature eight teams: North Mumbai Panthers, ARCS Andheri, Triumph Knights Mumbai North East, Namo Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers, Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs, along with two new franchises. This creates a significant opportunity for new stakeholders to become part of the league.
“T20 Mumbai League has been crucial in identifying, nurturing, and promoting cricketing talent at the grassroots level. It has served as a launchpad for young players while also contributing to the growth of Mumbai cricket. With new franchise owners coming in, we see this as a chance to further strengthen the league’s legacy. Their involvement will bring fresh vision and investment, enhancing opportunities for players, stakeholders, and fans alike. We look forward to collaborating with potential bidders who share our vision for the league’s future,” MCA Secretary Abhay Hadap stated.
Interested parties can collect the bid document from the MCA office at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai upon a non-refundable payment of ₹1 lakh via demand draft in favor of the Mumbai Cricket Association. The documents will be available from April 1 to 7, between 11 AM and 6 PM.
