Sanju Samson vs Mohammed Siraj
Sanju has been opening for RR and will have to face the challenge of Siraj, who is looking ruthless with the ball. In the last match, Siraj was adjudged Player of the Match after delivering a spell of 4/17 with an economy rate of 4.20. Sanju also scored 38 runs in his previous game. Siraj has previously dismissed Samson three times while conceding only 36 runs in T20s.
Shubman Gill vs Jofra Archer
Gill, who is in good form this IPL, played a captain’s knock of 61 off 43 balls with a strike rate of 141.86 in the last match. Jofra Archer did not have a good IPL until the last match when he delivered a match-winning performance with a spell of 3/25 in his four overs. In the four T20 innings where they’ve faced each other, Gill has managed only nine runs at a strike rate of 69.23 and has been dismissed twice by Archer. This battle at the top of the innings could be match-defining.
Yashasvi Jaiswal vs Mohammed Siraj
Jaiswal looked in good touch in the last game, scoring 67 runs off just 45 balls at a strike rate of 148.89. In the six T20 innings where Siraj has bowled to him, Jaiswal has been dismissed only once while scoring 40 runs at a strike rate of 125.
