The Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in yesterday’s match in the IPL 2025 by a margin of 58 runs. GT bowlers dominated as they bundled out RR for 159. Sai Sudharsan and Prasidh Krishna’s highlighting performances stole the show. After yesterday’s win, GT are now at the top of the points table while RR are now in the seventh spot.
IPL 2025: Points Table
Gujarat Titans (GT) are now with eight points at the top of the order. Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are the next top four teams currently in the points table with six points each. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) remain unchanged at number six while RR at number seven and both teams are tied at four points after five games each. At the bottom of the table, three teams are Mumbai Indians (MI), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and last year’s runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). All three have won only one game so far this season with two points each.
IPL 2025: Orange Cap List
LSG’s Nicholas Pooran continues to rule over the Orange Cap leaderboard as the top scorer with 288 runs this IPL season. Behind him and not far enough is now GT’s Sai Sudharsan. His Player of the Match performance yesterday of 82 runs off 53 balls against RR helped him to reach that second spot. Behind him is another LSG batter Mitchell Marsh at Number three with 265 runs in five matches played. MI’s Suryakumar Yadav now moves below at the fourth spot with 199 runs.
IPL 2025: Purple Cap List
CSK’s Noor Ahmad also remains to hold the top spot in the purple cap leaderboard with 11 wickets. Next four bowlers are sharing the second position jointly with 10 wickets each. MI skipper Hardik Pandya, CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed, GT’s Mohammed Siraj and Sai Kishore are the bowlers.
