After the early dismissal of Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, Tilak joined hands with Suryakumar Yadav to stabilize the inning. The duo partnership was important to take the MI’s score to 205 run. Tilak’s innings was composed of six four’s and three sixes with the strike rate of 178.79.
In six matches Tilak scored 210 runs with 146 ball faced at the average of 42 runs and a strike rate of 143.84 smashing two fifties, where today’s innings was the best in the season.

During his match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) he was retired out in the 18th over where he scored 25 runs in 23 balls smashing two fours which left fan surprised but highlighted MI’s intent to finish strong with the power hitters in the death over. Due to his efforts, MI could get to a score which they defended at the end tk register their second win.
As MI looking for a hope in the season , Tilak in this form could be critical fir the upcoming matches. His ability to anchor the innings and take selfless decision makes him a true team player who can contribute in matches ahead.
