Manchester United suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park in the ongoing English Premier League (EPL). The disastrous season continues for the Red Devils, and after this loss, they now sit in 14th place with 38 points from 32 games.

Following the match, former Manchester United great Roy Keane blasted current United skipper Bruno Fernandes, raising questions about his leadership skills. He was also unimpressed by Bruno’s post-match interview at St. James’ Park after that embarrassing result.

The Sky Sports pundit Keane said: “To me, it’s kind of just soundbites now from him. Let’s hope they win on Thursday, by the way. My goodness, that’s all they’re talking about.”

He further added: “He’s talking about his team-mates there… but what about his right-back who didn’t put a leg or try and tackle for the goal, Dalot? I hope he’s pulling him in the dressing room. Because he keeps talking about belief in the players or ‘my team-mates’.”

“A real good team-mate puts demands on each other, whether that’s out on the pitch or in the dressing room or on the training ground during the week. I suppose it’s called the culture of your football club. So when I listen to Bruno now — and I’ve been harsh on Bruno, an amazing player — but I still have question marks about his leadership,” Keane concluded.
