LSG vs CSK : Rishabh Pant roar back to form- first fifty of this season

In the ongoing match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)  against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the home ground of LSG at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium B, skipper Rishabh Pant who was bought by LSG at a whopping price of INR 27 crores showed that he is back in from with a smashing 63 runs on 49 balls which includes four fours and four sixes with the strike rate of 128.5. After early dismissal of Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran, Pant and Mitchell Marsh took the innings forward and took the target to 167 run.

Pant finds form against CSK

Pant who had been seen struggling with the bat this season, found his form back in today’s innings. Before this match Pant scored only 40 runs in 6 matches. Against pace bowlers, Pant was aggressive as he scores 45 runs in 26 balls at the strike rate of 173.07, on the other hand he was more cautious against the spin bowlers scoring 18 runs off 23 balls with the strike rate of 78.26. The balance approach was important to stabilise LSG’s today’s innings, leading them to a total of 166/7.

Pant has a impressive record against CSK, which is now  growing with his todays innings. Over 12 innings against the Yellow Army, he scored 438 runs with the average of 48.66 and the strike rate of 152.1, which includes four half centuries. This performance not only proves his worth to his team but also makes Pant’s team one of the deserving contender for the playoffs.
