Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by five wickets with three balls to spare, as MS Dhoni played a vintage finishing knock to end their five-match losing streak.
Suryakumar Yadav took to social media to congratulate Dhoni in a unique way. The current Indian T20 captain shared a story on Instagram that stated:
“Mahi bhai – Strike dega toh tum bana lega?
Dube – Try kar lenge.
Mahi bhai – Try karna hai toh hum hi kar lete hai. Tum bas runout mat karwa dena.”

This witty post was inspired by a popular scene from MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the biopic starring Late Sushant Singh Rajput.
Put in to bat, LSG posted 166/7 in their 20 overs, with captain Pant returning to form with a solid 63. CSK’s openers got off to a blazing start, adding 52 runs off just 29 balls. However, none of the following partnerships could build momentum—until the final one, when MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube stitched together a match-defining 57-run stand off just 28 deliveries.
CSK needed 56 off 30 balls when Dhoni came to the crease. The former Indian skipper wasted no time, hitting Avesh Khan for two consecutive boundaries to close the 16th over. In the next over, bowled by Shardul Thakur, Dhoni launched a six to keep the momentum going.
Dhoni and Dube scored 19 runs off the 19th over, leaving just five to win from the last six balls. Dube sealed the deal with a boundary, finishing the match with three balls to spare.
