Goa, April 13, 2025: The Football Association of Odisha entered the Grand Finale of the Dream Sports Championship Football 2025 girls’ National Finals despite their 2-2 draw against Delhi FA on Sunday. Odisha FA took an early lead in the match after captain Ipshita Rout got her name on the scoresheet in the 16th minute and the side made sure that they didn’t concede a goal in the first half.
Delhi then made a comeback, courtesy Tanya Singh’s equaliser in the 52nd minute. But Kiran Deep spoiled the party as she struck Odisha FA’s second goal in the 56th minute making it 2-1. Despite trailing in the majority part of the second half, Delhi FA scored the crucial goal in injury time. Deeva struck the second goal for her side (90 + 4) making it 2-2
In the other match of the evening, Kerala FA unleashed a dominating performance against Rajasthan FA to win 6-0. Kerala FA struck two goals in the first half after Sona S scored in the 32nd minute and Aysha Mirhana followed it up with another one (45 + 2).
Later, Bhagya Vinod scored the third goal for the side in the 57th minute. Kerala FA continued to stretch the lead as Sona struck her second in the 66th minute, Bhagya added another one in the 76th minute and Aysha scored her second and the team’s sixth in the 81st minute.
Earlier, in the day, Goa FA won 3-0 against Karnataka State FA while Jharkhand FA defeated Assam FA 1-0 to register a place in the Grand Finale.
Jharkhand FA will face off against Odisha FA at the RAIA Football Ground on April, Tuesday 15 from 5 pm onwards.
