In the ongoing match of the IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur. Harshit Rana set the stage on fire with the blistering powerplay performance, taking the three crucial wickets for that destroyed the top order of PBKS . Supported brilliantly by Ramandeep Singh in the outfield, the Rana-Ramandeep duo delivered a match defining spell that left fans at the edge of their seats.
Rana first strike came Swiftly against the Priyansh Arya who tried to hit a six with another aggressive shot where the perfectly positioned Ramandeep was on the deep backward squar leg, and the ball fell into the safe hands of Ramandeep.
Rana struck gold again, this time it was PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer who fell into the trap. Going after a short and wide delivery, Iyer misinterpreted the shot where Ramandeep showcased excellent athletic body and took a low catch just a inches off the ground and sent Iyer back to the pavilion.
Rana wasn’t done yet his third wicket came in the end of the powerplay. Prabhsimran Singh who tried a cut short delivery on off where he mistimed it and high on the bat and the ball went backward point to his favourite hands of Ramndeep who took the third catch and helped to take the third wicket of Rana
Rana’s fiery spell helped KKR take four wickets during the powerplay with Ramndeep and Rana involved in three dismissal. Together they crushed the Punjab’s momentum which gives a strong position to KKR in tonight’s game.
