IPL 2025: Updated Points Table, Orange Cap and Purple Cap List after MI vs SRH clash

The Mumbai Indians (MI) have upheld their strong reputation in front of home fans, delivering a convincing victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) with no disappointments. They currently sit seventh in the points table. From the bowling line-up to the batters, the entire team put in an impressive performance. After a lacklustre first innings, the SRH bowlers tried to defend with a strategic approach, but it fell short against the MI batting unit. SRH now find themselves at ninth in the standings.

Following their most recent win, Delhi Capitals (DC) remain at the top of the table with 10 points, closely followed by Gujarat Titans (GT) in second. Joining GT with eight points each are Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS), and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) remain sixth with six points, now joined by MI. Rajasthan Royals (RR) are in eighth, while SRH and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) round off the bottom three, all with four points each.

IPL 2025 – Orange Cap List

LSG’s Nicholas Pooran leads the Orange Cap race with 357 runs and has held the cap since Day 2. GT’s Sai Sudharsan follows in second with 329 runs, trailed by LSG’s Mitchell Marsh with 295. MI’s Suryakumar Yadav takes the fourth spot with 265 runs, ahead of PBKS’ Shreyas Iyer, who is now fifth with 250.

IPL 2025 – Purple Cap List

CSK’s Noor Ahmed continues to lead the Purple Cap standings with 12 wickets. Just behind him are DC’s Kuldeep Yadav, MI’s Hardik Pandya, CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed, and LSG’s Shardul Thakur — all with 11 wickets each. GT’s Prasidh Krishna, Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj, along with KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy, Harshit Rana, and DC’s Mitchell Starc are close behind, having taken 10 wickets each.
