It was a victory night for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) yesterday after defeating Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their home ground. The rain-curtailed 14-over match saw a thrilling performance from both teams, with a target of 96 set by the RCB batters in the first innings. The Kings achieved the target and got themselves a win. With this win, they now stand in the second spot with 10 points, and RCB are down to number four with eight points.

There has been a major update in the points table from yesterday’s match. It’s now Delhi Capitals (DC) and PBKS who are the top two teams with 10 points. Gujarat Titans (GT) and RCB are pushed down to the third and fourth spots, respectively, with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at number five. All three teams are up with eight points each. The rest five teams remain unchanged. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are at sixth spot with six points, followed by Mumbai Indians (MI) at number seven with six points. Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), all with four points each, are in the bottom three.

IPL 2025- Orange Cap List

The leaderboard remains the same. LSG’s Nicholas Pooran remains in the lead with 357 runs. GT’s Sai Sudharshan with 329 runs is second, followed by LSG’s Mitchell Marsh in third place with 295 runs. Suryakumar Yadav is in the fourth rank with 265 runs. Adding seven runs more, Iyer with 257 runs, takes the fifth spot.

IPL 2025 – Purple Cap List

CKS’s Noor Ahmed is finally having a competition. After relaxing in the purple cap leaderboard for a while, he is now tied with RCB’s Josh Hazelwood, whose 4/14 performance yesterday took him up to the second rank with 12 wickets in total. The rest remain unchanged. DC’s Kuldeep Yadav, MI’s Hardik Pandya, CSK’s Khaleel Ahmed and LSG’s Shardul Thakur are next with 11 wickets each. GT’s Prasidh Krishna, R Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj, KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana and DC’s Mitchell Starc are with 10 wickets. PBKS Arshdeep Singh, with 10 wickets, also joined them after adding two wickets from yesterday’s win.
