In the 35th match of IPL 2025, Gujarat Titan’s (GT) went against Delhi Capitals (DC) at GT’s home ground at Narendra Modi Stadium in a high-stake encounter between both the team as they both are the top four contender of playoffs. GT gave a tough competition to DC who were sitting on the first spot and no GT took that spot by a breathtaking knock from Jos Buttler who scored 97 runs off 54 balls which includes 11 fours and 4 sixes at the strike rate of 179.63 who helped DC to chase the target of 204 with an ease.
This was not the only good performance from Buttler who scored 315 runs in 7 games at the impressive strike rate of 164.06, his knock includes three crucial half centuries, and with this match winning knocks Buttler has now claimed third spot in the Orange Cap holder list not leaving Mitchell Marsh and KL Rahul behind.
After Winning the Player of the Match Buttler said “Really pleased with the two points and winning the game. It was a beautiful wicket to bat on. Just wanted to bat deep and pick my moments to attack. I think it takes you by the surprise how draining it is. I certainly felt that while batting, cramping up and stuff. But that’s part of the game to be fit and be able to perform under pressure in the heat.”
After missing his century, Buttler said “You want to win the game. It would have been nice, I had my chances, but the two points are nice.”
As the game is heading towards playoffs the form of Jos Buttler could be the X factor which Gujrat Titan’s need.
