In the 36th match of IPL 2025, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have locked horns with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), where LSG is on the fifth spot on the IPL points table the RR is struggling on 8th position and trying hard to survive in this tournament. RR efforts stopped LSG’s batters at 180 on the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs, but the last over which was bowled by Sandeep Sharma, turned to be the nightmare for RR as Abdul Samad hits four sixes and which helped LSG finish the innings with a bang.
The 20th over began with David Miller taking a single and handling the strike to Abdul Samad. Samad smashed a full toss over deep backward square leg for a six on the second ball. On the third ball, he did it again, this time pulling it behind deep mid-wicket. After taking a couple of runs on the fourth ball, Samad went full power once again, hitting a third six over deep square leg. He finished the innings with another towering six over deep mid-wicket, taking advantage of another full toss. Sandeep Sharma leaked 27 runs in the last over, finishing with 1/55 off his four overs.
Samad cameo of 30* runs off just 10 balls ensured LSG cross the 180 mark, shifting the moment in the favor of LSG. While Samad stole the limelight, Ayush Badoni’s crucial half century which is his first in this season and Aiden Markram’s 66 runs off 45 balls laid the stable foundation for LSG’s innings.
