Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history today by becoming the youngest player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to make his debut at just 14 years of age. Surya started his IPL career with a bang. On the very first ball he faced from Shardul Thakur, he hit a six over the covers. The shot showed the youngster’s fearlessness and left everyone stunned—including his batting partner, the bowler, and the opposition captain, Rishabh Pant.

Vaibhav and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave Rajasthan Royals (RR) a strong start. They added 61 runs in the powerplay and built a partnership of 85 runs. Vaibhav scored 34 runs from just 20 balls at a strike rate of 170.00. His knock included two fours and three sixes.
