In an unexpected turn, Narine also captained KKR in the final eight overs of the match. Ajinkya Rahane left the field due to a finger injury. Taking up leadership duty brilliantly, Narine bowled his final few overs under pressure and KKR stayed in control.

KKR’s bowling unit complemented Narine very well with Varun Chakravarthy picking up two wickets, and all other bowlers like Anukul Roy, Vaibhav Arora, and Andre Russell also chipped in. During the post-match presentation, Narine said: “Self pride keeps me going. Always want to give the captain to give the option of having someone.
