In some positive news for Indian badminton, India’s rising women’s doubles duo of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will be back on court at the Thailand Open 2025 scheduled to start on 13th of May.

Treesa has recovered from her shoulder injury and is almost ready to step back on the court. While Gayatri is expected to resume training in the next couple of days, sources say she is almost 70-80 percent recovered. The duo had pulled out of the 2025 Sudirman Cup owing to their respective injuries but are now looking to make a comeback. Their injuries set India back as was confirmed to Revsportz in an exclusive interview by the BAI Secretary General Sanjay Mishra.

Having done well at the All England, Treesa and Gayatri were poised for a big breakthrough season when injuries laid them low. Now with the duo coming back, it can be expected that they will have a strong run in the next few months. In what has been an indifferent year for India so far, this comes as a ray of hope for the sport.
