Virat Kohli recently gave fans a reason to laugh about his teammate Swastik Chikara. In a video shared by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on X, Virat—during an interview with Qatar Airways—was asked to name a teammate he wouldn’t want as a travel roommate. Jokingly, he replied, “I wouldn’t say it’s Swastik Chikara. Because he doesn’t leave me alone, so definitely not him.” The audience present immediately burst into laughter at his response.

After the light-hearted comment about Chikara, Virat continued the conversation by speaking about his desire to get to know teammate and RCB batter Jitesh Sharma better. Sharing his thoughts, he expressed an interest in discovering the real Jitesh.

“But one guy I think is really funny, but he’s not opened up with me properly, is Jitesh Sharma. I would want to see that really fun, raw side of him, because I can see it in his eyes—he’s got that mischief about him, Kohli said.

Praising Jitesh’s personality and skillset, he added, “He’s very street-smart—you can see it on the field. He finds different ways of looking at things. So, I would like to get to know him more.”

RCB face off against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at their home ground today and will look to secure a crucial win to confirm their place in the playoffs.
