PSL 2025 Remaining Matches Shifted to UAE; Bangladesh Tour of Pakistan in Doubt

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the relocation of the remaining fixtures of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 to the United Arab Emirates due to ongoing regional instability. The move includes the final eight matches of the tournament — the last four league-stage games, the playoffs, and the final.

In a short statement released on Friday, the PCB confirmed the change in venue, citing “unwanted circumstances in the region” as the reason behind the decision.

“The PCB confirms that the remaining fixtures of the HBL PSL X have been shifted to the UAE,” the statement read. It added that the detailed schedule, including venues and match timings, would be released at a later stage.

Previously, the remaining matches were scheduled to be played across Rawalpindi, Multan, and Lahore, with Rawalpindi hosting four games, Multan one, and Lahore the final three, including the playoffs. The uncertainty began earlier this week when the 27th match — Peshawar Zalmi vs Karachi Kings — set to be played in Rawalpindi, had to be rescheduled amid growing security concerns.

With the tournament now moving abroad, the PCB is in discussions with UAE authorities to finalize logistical details, including venue availability and security arrangements.

Meanwhile, escalating tensions in the region have also cast a shadow over Bangladesh’s upcoming tour of Pakistan, scheduled later this month. The situation remains fluid, and an official update on the tour is expected soon.
