South Africa Women secured a 76-run victory over Sri Lanka Women, thanks to a brilliant century from Annerie Dercksen. She came in to bat in the 20th over after Sinalo Jafta (0 off 2) was bowled by Dewmi Vihangam on the third ball of the over. Dercksen made an immediate impact, hitting a four off the third delivery she faced.

She reached her fifty in the 34th over off 50 balls, edging a delivery to the third-man boundary. She was given a second lifeline on the very next ball when the bowler, Inoshi Priyadharshani, dropped a return catch.

Dercksen brought up her maiden ODI century in style in the 43rd over, smashing a six over long-off. She was the top scorer for her side, making 104 runs off just 84 balls at a strike rate of 123.81, including nine fours and five sixes.

She played a pivotal role in two key partnerships that shaped South Africa’s innings. First, she shared a 42-run stand from 57 balls with Nondumiso Shangase. This was followed by a crucial 112-run partnership off 88 balls with Chloe Tryon. Dercksen contributed 77 runs to this stand, while Tryon added 30. This partnership laid the foundation for a strong finish. Tryon was the second-highest scorer, blasting 74 runs off 51 balls at a strike rate of 145.10, including four fours and five sixes. Her aggressive innings ensured South Africa crossed the 300-run mark.

Dercksen is enjoying a strong Tri-Nation Series, having already registered two other fifty-plus scores — 61 against Sri Lanka and 81 against India.
