Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has officially confirmed the revised schedule for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10. The tournament is set to resume on May 17, with the grand final scheduled for May 25.
The six-franchise league had been temporarily halted due to rising border tensions between India and Pakistan, as well as a security-related incident near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. However, following the recent ceasefire agreement, cricket activities in the country are now set to recommence.
Initially, the PCB considered relocating the remaining fixtures to the United Arab Emirates due to security concerns. However, reports later indicated that the Emirates Cricket Board declined the request to host the games. Subsequently, the PCB suspended the tournament in line with government directives.
Recent developments suggested that the PCB had devised a revised plan to complete the final eight matches, which Naqvi confirmed through a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
“HBL PSL X picks up from where it left off! 6 teams, 0 fear. Let the aura take over as we unite and celebrate the spirit of cricket. Get ready for 8 thrilling matches starting 17th May, leading up to the Grand Final on 25th May. Best of luck to all the teams,” Mohsin Naqvi tweeted from his official account.
The remaining fixtures are expected to be held in Karachi and Islamabad.
