Time to switch gears: Shane’s message for the youngsters
After narrowly missing out on World Cup qualification in India—finishing just behind Bangladesh—West Indies head coach Shane Dietz has put together a refreshed squad to compete in the upcoming tour of England.
“We’ve brought a strong team to England and we’re looking forward to putting on a good performance for the crowd there and for all our supporters watching back in the Caribbean,” said Dietz. “It’s going to be a great opportunity for us to re-establish ourselves as a world-class team with world-class players. The girls have been working hard since the qualification campaign in Pakistan and have been playing domestic cricket in the T20 Blaze. Now it’s time to switch gears, perform at the international level, and give our supporters something to cheer about.”
