After a week-long suspension, the IPL 2025 is back in action. The previous match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) left fans disappointed as it was halted midway due to the India-Pakistan conflict, which subsequently led to a brief pause in the tournament. Now, with cricket returning to normalcy, the league resumes with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) taking on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

IPL 2025 Points Table

Gujarat Titans (GT) continue to dominate at the top of the table with 16 points and a net run rate of +0.793. RCB, with four consecutive wins, also have 16 points and sit second. PBKS, with 16 points including one from the abandoned match, occupy third place. Mumbai Indians (MI) are in fourth with 14 points, closely followed by DC, also on 14 points. KKR currently sit sixth with 11 points, and today’s match could be crucial for their playoff hopes.

The remaining teams are unlikely to qualify for the playoffs. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are seventh with 10 points, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in eighth with 7 points. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), each with 6 points, round out the bottom two.

IPL 2025 – Purple Cap Standings

The race for the Purple Cap remains intense. GT’s Prasidh Krishna currently leads with 20 wickets. CSK’s Noor Ahmad, also with 20 wickets, sits second thanks to a lower economy rate. RCB’s Josh Hazlewood and MI’s Trent Boult follow with 18 wickets each. KKR’s Varun Chakravarthy rounds out the top five with 17 wickets and has the chance to climb the rankings in today’s match against RCB.
