
West Indies batter Keacy Carty achieved a new ODI record for his country after his century in the second game of the ongoing three-match ODI series in England. After winning the toss, the home team asked the visitors to bat first, and the Windies set up a total of 308/10 in 47.4 overs. He scored 103 off 105 balls while batting at number three.
It turned out to be his fourth century in the last 10 innings played in ODIs and his third ODI century in the last 10 days. In the last 10 days of this century in Cardiff, he scored 102 (109) and 170 (142) respectively against Ireland.
Carty now has four ODI centuries in 33 innings
However, after this knock, he has surpassed West Indies’ all-time great, Viv Richards, in terms of total runs scored after 33 ODI innings.
