This knock came at a crucial point in the Ashes. Batting at number three, Smith dominated the English bowling attack with patience and precision. His 215 runs off 346 balls, which included 25 boundaries, helped Australia post a massive first-innings total. He batted for over eight hours, showing incredible focus and composure. In the second innings, he also scored 58 off 48 as Australia won the game by 405 runs.

110 vs England (2023 Ashes)

His 110 runs came in tough conditions. The innings was full of classic Smith strokes, which included 15 boundaries in 161 balls at a strike rate of 59.78. Australia won the game by 43 runs.

92 vs England (2019 Ashes)

Only eight runs short of another century, Smith’s 92-run knock was a masterclass. England’s bowlers were at their best, but Smith stood tall. He batted for 264 minutes and faced 161 balls, smashing 14 boundaries at a strike rate of 57.14. This was the match where he did not bat in the second innings, as Marnus Labuschagne replaced him as a concussion substitute.
