India and Lucknow Super Giants pacer Mayank Yadav has been struggling with a back injury for a while now. He had a bazing debut in the IPL last year which then earned him an India call up. But since then the speedster has been in and out of teams due to injury.

As reported by RevSportz earlier, the bowler is all set to travel to New Zealand to consult medical specialists for his back injury. These are the same specialists that had consulted Jasprit Bumrah.

In a new development, sources have confirmed that the speedster has applied for a visa to visit New Zealand for a consultation. Sources have also confirmed that Yadav will fly out in the third week of June. And as previously reported that he could even go for surgery if it is recommended.

Yadav had been sidelined well before joining LSG for a few games this IPL season. But when he finally did take the field, his injury flared up again, ruling him out of the tournament once more.

More details to follow.
