UEFA Champions League (UCL) 2024/25 winners Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) began their FIFA Club World Cup 2025 campaign with a dominant 4-0 win over Spain’s Atletico Madrid. Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring with a fantastic strike, and Vitinha doubled the lead just before halftime. In the second half, Senny Mayulu and Lee Kang-in added goals as PSG secured a convincing victory.
After the win, PSG coach Luis Enrique expressed his satisfaction with the result as his team continued their strong form. Speaking to PSG TV, Enrique said: “My feeling is that it was harder than the scoreboard suggests. It was very hot out there! We’re happy and we’re continuing our positive run. It was a very good match. The atmosphere? We really enjoyed it. It’s a very positive thing to have that feeling, to feel the support of the fans. We have to keep going. We have to improve and keep this momentum going. It’s a different competition, but a very attractive one.”

Senny Mayulu, one of the goal scorers, was pleased with the team’s strong start to the tournament. “I’m obviously satisfied. It’s a great win, we’re off to a good start.
