The upcoming Women’s ODI World Cup is set to be hosted by India and Sri Lanka, and reports suggest that the tournament will kick off on September 30 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where India will face Sri Lanka in the opening match.

The tournament will feature eight teams: India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. West Indies failed to qualify for the event. As per reports, India are scheduled to play Pakistan on October 5, followed by matches against South Africa on October 9, Australia on October 12, England on October 19, New Zealand on October 23, and Bangladesh on October 26.

Pakistan’s campaign reportedly begins on October 2

The high-profile India vs Pakistan clash is going to be held at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. As part of a mutually agreed hybrid model between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), all of Pakistan’s matches will be played in Colombo. This arrangement comes amid ongoing political tensions between the two countries.

As per reports, Pakistan’s campaign will begin on October 2 against Bangladesh. They will then play India on October 5, followed by Australia on October 8, England on October 15, New Zealand on October 18, South Africa on October 21, and finally hosts Sri Lanka on October 24.

If Pakistan qualify for the semi-final, then the first semi-final will take place on October 29 in Colombo. Otherwise, it will happen in Guwahati. On October 30, the second semi-final will take place in Bengaluru. Depending on Pakistan’s qualification, the final will be played in either Bengaluru or Colombo on November 2.
