India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant once again showcased his trademark attacking intent with the bat on day two of the ongoing Leeds Test, after being unbeaten on 65 at the end of day one. He went on to reach the three-digit mark, notching up his seventh Test century—the most by an Indian wicketkeeper in the longest format of the game.

Pant eventually got out for 134 off 178 balls. But during his entertaining knock, a funny incident caught the attention of fans. He lost one of his shoes while attempting a run. The moment occurred on the last delivery of the 106th over. Josh Tongue was bowling, and Pant pushed the ball to cover before sprinting for a single.

But while running, one of his shoes came off. Still, he managed to complete the run barefoot. Ravindra Jadeja was then seen picking up the shoe, handing it back to Pant while laughing over the moment, which instantly went viral on social media.

Rishabh Pant Now Has Three Test Tons in England

With his century in this match, Pant (7) has now surpassed former Team India wicketkeeper and captain MS Dhoni (6) for the most Test hundreds by an Indian wicketkeeper. It was also Pant’s third Test century on English soil.

However, despite being in a commanding position at 430/3 at one point, Team India failed to cross the 500-run mark. They lost their last seven wickets for just 41 runs and were eventually bowled out for 471 in 113 overs.
