The penultimate day of the first Test between India and England at Headingley, Leeds, is expected to feature a typical mix of English weather—breezy conditions, patchy sunshine, and possible rain interruptions.

According to the latest AccuWeather forecast for Leeds, the morning will begin partly sunny with a 20% chance of rain. Encouragingly, the likelihood of showers drops to zero by 8 AM, just before play is due to begin. While there is no significant rain predicted after 9 AM, intermittent cloud cover may still bring brief, unpredictable spells of rain, a common feature in English conditions.

Two hours before the scheduled start of Day 4, overcast skies and looming dark clouds were spotted over the city and the Headingley ground. The first three days have seen uninterrupted play, but Day 4 could face minor weather disruptions.

Despite a low overall precipitation probability of just 3%, cloud cover is expected to hover around 70%, making for overcast and breezy conditions. Rain chances through the day remain in the 3–4% range, suggesting that most of the action should go ahead as planned.

With clouds around and moisture in the air, England’s seamers will be eager to exploit the conditions. India, currently at 90/2 with a 96-run lead, will face a stern test against the swinging ball as they look to set a challenging target for the hosts.
