Cristiano Ronaldo has officially signed a new two-year contract with Al Nassr, extending his stay in the Saudi Pro League (SPL) until 2027. This deal puts to rest recent speculation that the Portuguese superstar might be looking for a new challenge elsewhere.
Al Nassr confirmed the contract extension by sharing photos of Ronaldo signing the deal and holding up the club jersey, captioned: “Cristiano Ronaldo is staying at @AlNassrFC until 2027 💛🤩.” The player himself posted an image, writing: “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together. 🟡🔵.”

The rumours intensified after Al Nassr’s final SPL 2024–25 fixture against Al Fateh, in which Ronaldo scored a goal but his side lost 3-2. Following the match, Ronaldo shared a cryptic post on social media—a photo of himself in the Al Nassr jersey with the caption: “This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Thanks to all.”
That prompted uncertainty about his future, but shortly after, Al Nassr’s Sporting Director, Fernando Hierro, confirmed that the club was eager to extend Ronaldo’s stay. Now, the club has made it official.

Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to win the SPL title
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in late 2022 after parting ways with Manchester United as a free agent. Since then, he has scored an impressive 93 goals in 105 appearances across all competitions for the Saudi outfit.
During his time with Al Nassr, Ronaldo has already won the Arab Club Champions Cup, but the SPL title has eluded him. The club finished second in both the 2022–23 and 2023–24 seasons, and came third in the recently concluded 2024–25 campaign.
With Ronaldo committing to the club for another two years, the primary ambition for both him and Al Nassr will be clear—clinching the Saudi Pro League title.
