Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra has won the hearts of his fans many times with his consistent performances, but this time, he did so with a heartwarming gesture. The javelin thrower recently sponsored a fan’s trip to the Neeraj Chopra Classic in Bengaluru.
Neeraj helped a fan named Ranjith and fulfilled his request to attend the upcoming NC Classic event in Bengaluru by covering all expenses for a VVIP experience.
It all started with an X post on 25 June, where Ranjith made a humble request, which read: “If anyone sponsor me 2000 rupees, I can go to watch this from Coimbatore.”

To his surprise, two days later, Neeraj himself responded to the post and granted his wish.
“Hi, Ranjith. You’ve got a full VVIP experience waiting for you in Bengaluru because your trip to the @nc_classic is on me! And thanks to @RadissonHotels, you’ll be staying about 90 metres away from me. See you soon!” Neeraj’s post read.
The kind gesture instantly went viral, with fans celebrating Neeraj’s generosity on social media.
The Neeraj Chopra Classic event is scheduled for July 5 in Bengaluru. The athletics meet will begin at 7 PM at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium and aims to celebrate excellence and inclusivity, featuring top athletes and an enthusiastic crowd.
