Sourav Ganguly, one of the most influential captains in Indian cricket history, turned 53 today. Over his illustrious career, Ganguly played 424 international matches, scoring 18,575 runs and smashing 38 centuries.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) paid tribute to him with a social media post marking his achievements. WPL franchise Gujarat Giants also saluted Ganguly’s legacy, calling him: “The Dada who taught Team India to fight fearlessly and believe endlessly. Happy Birthday to the Prince of Kolkata, Sourav Ganguly!”
The Kolkata Knight Riders, the IPL team Ganguly once led, referred to him as the first ‘Knight’ and posted a special tribute: “Born to lead. Built to inspire. Happy Birthday Dada!”
Delhi Capitals, where Ganguly served as Director of Cricket, shared a heartfelt birthday message: “Tiger. Leader. Legend. Happy Birthday, Dada!”
