Former team India cricketer, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, share a close bond both on and off the pitch—a fact well known to fans across the globe. Kohli made his debut for the Indian team under Dhoni’s leadership, and the two shared the Indian dressing room for many years.
Now, speaking at an event in Chennai, Dhoni made an interesting revelation about Kohli’s off-field talents. He said: “He (Kohli) also sings well. He is a good singer. He is a good dancer. He is good in mimicry. If he is in the mood, he is very, very entertaining.”
Meanwhile, reports have emerged suggesting that Dhoni and Kohli might reunite later this year when Argentine football legend Lionel Messi visits India in December.
Dhoni retired from international cricket in 2020, while Kohli stepped away from T20 internationals after India’s victorious campaign in the 2024 T20 World Cup. More recently, Kohli surprised many by announcing his retirement from Test cricket during IPL 2025.
However, he continues to play the ODI format. India’s next ODI series is scheduled in Australia this October, and fans are eagerly looking forward to see Kohli in action.
While both Dhoni and Kohli continue to represent their respective IPL franchises, speculation remains over Dhoni’s playing future. It will be interesting to see whether he returns as a player for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2026. Kohli, on the other hand, is coming off a high, having finally lifted his first IPL title with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in 2025.
