ICC Rankings: Ireland captain Gaby Lewis reaches career-best ratings as Beth Money continues to lead charts

Ireland captain Gaby Lewis remains in the 15th place with a new career-high of 620 rating points after her stellar performances in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Division 1 Qualifier in Netherlands. Whereas Beth Money of Australia continues to lead the T20I batters chart with 794 points. 

Hayley Matthews of West Indies is in the second spot with 774 points, while India’s star batter Smriti Mandhana is in the third spot with 767 ratings. Tahila McGrath of Australia and Laura Wolvaardt from South Africa, occupy the fourth and the fifth spot with 757 and 731 ratings respectively. 

Along with Lewis, her Irish teammates are also having a good time in the Netherlands, reflecting in the rankings. Leah Paul who hit an unbeaten 62 against Germany on Sunday has taken a jump of 15 spots to come to 75th spot in the rankings for batters. 

Furthermore, Paul jumped 13 spots in the T20I all-rounder’s rankings and is currently at the 64th spot. The all rounder’s section is led by Caribbean star Matthews with 505 ratings, followed by Amelia Kerr from New Zealand in second place with 434 ratings. Deepti Sharma from India holds the third spot with 387 ratings. 

In T20I rankings for bowlers, Annabel Sutherland tops the charts with 736 ratings. Deepti from India and Sadia Iqbal from Pakistan are both in the second spot just behind Sutherland with just four ratings behind the Aussie quick. England’s Sophie Ecclestone is in the fourth spot with 727 ratings, while her teammate Lauren Bell taking the fifth spot with 714 ratings. Teenager Freya Sargent took a wicket against Italy and Germany to jump six places to 86th spot with 352 ratings.
