Litton Das produced a captain’s knock to guide Bangladesh to a seven-wicket win over Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2025. The skipper anchored the chase with a fluent fifty, as his side completed the target with 14 balls to spare.

Chasing 144, Bangladesh lost their first wicket on the final ball of the third over. Litton then joined Tanzid Hasan Tamim in the middle, and the pair added 23 runs off 16 balls before Tanzid fell for 14. Towhid Hridoy came in next, and together with his captain, laid the foundation for a comfortable win.

The duo shared a crucial 95-run stand in just 69 balls, which put Bangladesh firmly in control. Litton started cautiously but changed gears in the 14th over, hitting Ayush Shukla for consecutive boundaries. He soon brought up his half-century off 33 balls in the 16th over. This was his third score of fifty or more in his last four T20I innings.

Litton eventually finished on 59 from 39 balls, striking six fours and a six at a rate of 151.28. Hridoy supported him well with an unbeaten 35, ensuring Bangladesh crossed the line with ease.

Earlier, after opting to field first, Bangladesh kept Hong Kong to 143. The batting side managed only two partnerships above 40, with captain Nizakat Khan top-scoring with 42. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Rishad Hossain claimed two wickets apiece.

For his match-winning effort, Litton Das was named Player of the Match.
