The India–Pakistan match is always the most anticipated fixture, drawing a huge amount of global attention. A large crowd is expected to gather at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium for Sunday’s Asia Cup 2025 clash. For the safety of all spectators attending the game, Dubai Police and the Events Security Committee (ESC) have issued strict rules. Anyone who breaks them will face heavy fines or could even be taken to jail.
Strong Security for the Big Game
Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police and head of the ESC, stated that special police units will be deployed for all Asia Cup 2025 matches. He assured a swift response to any disturbances and warned that anyone threatening public safety will face legal consequences.
Serious Penalties
The Federal Law on the Security of Sports Facilities and Events outlines clear penalties. Entering the field without permission or carrying prohibited items such as fireworks could lead to one to three months in jail and a fine ranging from Dh5,000 to Dh30,000. Acts of violence, throwing objects, or using racist or abusive language could result in fines of up to Dh30,000 and possible imprisonment.
What Should Fans Do?
The ESC has advised fans to arrive at least three hours early, carry valid tickets, and ensure each ticket is used only once. Spectators have also been urged not to park in unauthorised areas or block roads near the stadium.
Prohibited Items
Items banned at the venue include: fireworks, flammable substances, lasers, umbrellas, large cameras, selfie sticks, sharp objects, toxic substances, flags, banners, pets, remote-controlled devices, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and anything made of glass.
According to officials, these measures are in place to ensure the safety of players, spectators, and staff, allowing everyone to enjoy one of cricket’s most thrilling rivalries.
