Bangladesh will host the West Indies for a six-match white-ball series at home next month. Both teams will play three ODIs and three T20Is.

The T20 leg of the series will help both sides prepare for next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

All the three ODIs will be played at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The three ODIs are scheduled for October 18, 20, and 23. These matches will assist Bangladesh and the West Indies in finalising their line-ups and working on team balance ahead of the bigger tournament.

After the ODIs, the focus will shift to the T20Is, which will be played in Chattogram at the Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium, formerly known as Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium. The first T20I will take place on October 27, with the next two matches scheduled for October 30 and November 1.

The last time the West Indies toured Bangladesh was in 2021 for an ODI and Test series. While Bangladesh won the ODI series, the West Indies clinched the Test series.

The upcoming series is important for Bangladesh, as it will be their final international assignment before the T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka next year.
