
Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna retired hurt on the second day of the unofficial Test between India A and Australia A in Lucknow. Australian bowler Henry Thornton, bowled a bouncer that hit his helmet and he suffered a concussion.
The incident happened in the 39th over, but Prasidh seemed fine first, as he passed the on-field concussion test, so he continued batting. But after a few more balls, he started feeling uncomfortable. After threeovers, he left the field for medical care and retired hurt. Yash Thakur came in as his concussion substitute.
Before the injury, Prasidh showed good efforts with the bat. He came in to bat after India A lost quick wickets and built a partnership with Sai Sudharsan (75 runs) for the eighth wicket. He impressedeveryone by smashing a six over mid–wicket. There was also an edge past the slips for four. Prasidh added 16 runs before he suffered the concussion.
With the ball, he struggled. He conceded 76 runs in 17 overs and only managed a single wicket, that of Campbell Kellaway.
Australia A made 420 runs in their first innings. India A, in reply, were bowled out for 194 runs in 52.5 overs, trailing by 226 runs.
