India will take on Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday, 28 September, at the Dubai International Stadium. This is a historic occasion, as these two rival teams are meeting in the final for the first time in the tournament’s 41-year history.

So far, the weather has not caused significant interruptions in the tournament. However, a reserve day has been scheduled for Monday, 29 September, in case rain washes out play on Sunday. If no result is possible even then, the trophy will be shared between the two teams, as per the Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) rules.

As of now, no rain is expected on Sunday in Dubai. The weather is likely to be clear, with the temperature expected to remain around 33°C and humidity at approximately 61%. A full match is anticipated without any delays or interruptions.

Both teams have played some excellent cricket during the tournament, with India being the favourites going into the final. India remain unbeaten, while Pakistan made a strong comeback by defeating Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the Super Four stage by five wickets and 11 runs respectively to qualify for the final.

Abhishek Sharma is enjoying a dream tournament so far, having scored 309 runs in six matches at an average of 51.50, including three fifties. Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi will be high on confidence after bowling brilliantly in the Super Four stage against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, taking three wickets in each match. Kuldeep Yadav is currently the tournament’s highest wicket-taker, with 13 wickets from six matches.
