IND-A vs AUS-A: Prabhsimran’s Ton, Arshdeep’s Spell Seal Series for India A

Prabhsimran Singh’s dazzling century propelled India A to a two-wicket win over Australia A at Green Park in Kanpur. With this victory, the Shreyas Iyer-led side clinched the three-match unofficial ODI series 2–1. Prabhsimran was named Player of the Match in the series decider, while Riyan Parag was awarded Player of the Series.

Chasing a target of 318, India A got off to a strong start as Abhishek Sharma and Prabhsimran added 83 runs for the first wicket. After Abhishek’s dismissal, Prabhsimran continued to play aggressively and built a 56-run partnership with Iyer. Parag then took charge alongside Iyer, with the pair rotating the strike effectively and punishing loose deliveries. They stitched together a 117-run stand off 92 balls, making the chase more manageable for India A, who reached the target with four overs to spare.

Prabhsimran was the top scorer for India A, making 102 off 68 balls, including eight fours and seven sixes at a strike rate of 150. Iyer and Parag both contributed 62 runs each. For Australia A, Tanveer Sangha and Todd Murphy took four wickets apiece.

Earlier, Australia A won the toss and elected to bat. Arshdeep Singh gave India A two early breakthroughs, dismissing both Australian openers. Liam Scott and captain Jack Edwards then shared a 152-run partnership, which proved crucial in taking Australia A to a total of 317. Edwards was their top scorer, making 89 runs. Arshdeep was the pick of the bowlers for India A, finishing with figures of 3 for 38.
