The fourth edition of the RR Kabel Prime Volleyball League powered by Scapia is going on with full fervor and enthusiasm at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. With the season being streamed on YouTube via PVL’s official YouTube channel, a new regional feed—Kannada—has been added and will go live on Saturday, October 11.
The thrilling volleyball action saw a high viewership on YouTube on the first day, with widespread reach across all regional languages.
Kannada will be the sixth addition to the regional language lineup, joining English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. This move aims to address the large Volleyball fanbase in Karnataka, who are enthusiastic supporters of their home team, Bengaluru Torpedoes.
The goal is to cater to this audience and ensure the tournament reaches every household in the region, while also expanding the reach with more regional languages.
Commenting on the development, *Yashwanth Biyyala, Co-owner and Director, Bengaluru Torpedoes*, said, _“The support we receive from Karnataka is immense, and providing the livestream in our local language is a sincere effort to engage more deeply with our loyal fans. This step will bring the excitement of the Prime Volleyball League right into the homes of our most passionate supporters.”
*Prime Volleyball League CEO Mr Joy Bhattacharjya further added,* _”Expanding our digital footprint with the Kannada feed on YouTube is a crucial step in the league’s strategic growth. Our large viewership on the opening day, clearly demonstrates the massive, multilingual appetite for volleyball across India. Adding a sixth regional option — alongside English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam — is about more than just numbers; it’s about nation-building for the sport. By delivering tailored, accessible content, we are not only supporting the passionate fanbase in Karnataka and the Bengaluru Torpedoes but also creating a model for deep, inclusive fan engagement that ensures the PVL truly becomes a household name everywhere.”
