India’s superstar Virat Kohli is on the verge of scoring the highest number of centuries in a single format of the game. If he gets one more hundred, he will end up with 52 ODI hundreds, going past Sachin Tendulkar’s 51 Test tons. The legendary Tendulkar also has 49 ODI tons.

Kohli also has the chance to equal Rohit Sharma’s record of scoring most hundreds against Australia on their soil. Rohit has four while Kohli is standing on three.

Nowadays, Kohli is available to play for India only in the ODI format after he announced his retirement from Test cricket during the 2025 IPL. The 36-year-old retired from T20Is last year after playing a part in steering India to a T20 World Cup triumph.

Kohli’s record on Australian soil in ODIs is exceptional. He has played 29 matches and scored 1327 runs at an average of 51.03, including five hundreds and six fifties with his best being an unbeaten 133. So the stage is set for India’s biggest match-winner of this generation to smash the records, and the fans are eager to see some big innings from his bat.
