Uttar Pradesh vs Andhra (Result: Match Drawn)

At one point, Uttar Pradesh looked set to concede the first-innings lead. Having lost six wickets with 220 runs on the board, all eyes turned to Rinku Singh — and he played a blinder, not just saving the match but also securing bonus points for his team. One of the highlights of his unbeaten 165-run knock was the way he batted with the tailenders. Eight bowling options were tried by Andhra skipper Ricky Bhui, but none succeeded against a determined Rinku.

Rajasthan vs Chhattisgarh (Result: Rajasthan won by 9 wickets)

The day began with Manav Suthar claiming an eight-wicket haul, as the left-arm spinner dismantled Chhattisgarh to bowl them out for just 109. With Rajasthan needing only 56 to win, captain Mahipal Lomror came out to open the innings. The left-handed batter smashed 35 off 34 balls to complete the run chase inside 12 overs. For picking up 11 wickets in the match, Manav was named Player of the Match.

Kerala vs Maharashtra (Result: Match Drawn)

After being reduced to 18/5 in the first innings, Maharashtra managed to secure a draw in their opening game of the season against Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram. It was a strong all-round performance that helped them take the first-innings lead, earning bonus points. On the final day, Prithvi Shaw came out all guns blazing, taking his chances against both pace and spin, although he narrowly missed out on a century. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who had scored 91 in the first innings, remained unbeaten on 55 and shared a 103-run unbroken stand with Siddhesh Veer. After both batters reached their respective milestones, the players shook hands to bring an early end to the game.

Saurashtra vs Karnataka (Result: Match Drawn)

The game in Rajkot went down to the wire, as both teams pushed hard for a result — but to no avail. Earlier on Day 4, Karnataka were bowled out for 232, with skipper Mayank Agarwal top-scoring with 64. In their second innings, Karnataka tried to claim ten wickets, but Sammar Gajjar held firm for Saurashtra, remaining unbeaten on 43. The home side will be pleased with the draw, especially after losing half their side early on the final day. They had also taken a slender four-run lead in the first innings. It was a memorable match for Karnataka’s Shreyas Gopal and Saurashtra’s Dharmendrasinh Jadeja, as both spinners claimed 11 wickets each in the game.

Madhya Pradesh vs Punjab (Result: Match Drawn)

Madhya Pradesh declared their innings on the overnight score of 519, with skipper Rajat Patidar unbeaten on 205 and seam-bowling all-rounder Arshad Khan on 60. Much like in the first innings, Punjab’s batters disappointed again — particularly the openers, who failed to convert their starts — as the team reached 143/5 in their second innings before rain interrupted play. The match was eventually called off, resulting in a draw. Patidar’s team had a real chance of securing an outright win, but the weather played spoilsport.

Tamil Nadu vs Jharkhand (Result: Jharkhand won by an innings and 114 runs)

The Ishan Kishan-led Jharkhand side registered a thumping win over Tamil Nadu in their first away game of the season. What will hurt Tamil Nadu the most is the margin of defeat — an innings and 114 runs — and that too at home. Across both innings, they managed just 305 runs in response to Jharkhand’s first-innings total of 419. On a tricky surface, Ishan top-scored with a brilliant 173 to earn Player of the Match honours.

Hyderabad vs Delhi (Result: Match Drawn)

In a run-fest in Hyderabad, where over 1,000 runs were scored across three innings, Delhi and Hyderabad settled for a draw. The visitors piled up 529/4 in their first innings, thanks to double centuries from Sanat Sangwan and Ayush Doseja. In response, Hyderabad posted 411, with opener Tanmay Agarwal scoring a century. Delhi skipper Ayush Badoni returned with his best bowling figures of 6/73 in order to help his side claim a 118-run lead and collect three points.
